FAQ + Safety

What to wear, how often, who should avoid, and what to expect.

Red Light Relax sessions are simple: book a time, show up, and let the system do the work. If you’re new, start here.

Getting Started

What is Red Light Relax?
A 20-minute recovery session that stacks red + near-infrared light with your choice of Relax (massage chair) or Recover (compression).

What’s the difference between Relax and Recover?
Relax = massage chair + red light.
Recover = compression (legs/hips/arms) + red light.
Both are 20 minutes and can be booked with the same membership credits.

How long is a session?
Sessions are 20 minutes. Please arrive a few minutes early for setup so we can stay on schedule.

What should I wear?
Comfortable athletic clothing. For better light exposure, short sleeves/shorts help, but you’ll remain fully clothed.

Do I need to do anything before my first visit?
Just book your time and arrive a few minutes early. If you have medical concerns, check with your healthcare provider first.

Using Red Light

How often should I do red light sessions?
Most people start with 2–3 sessions per week for a few weeks, then adjust based on goals and schedule.

Will I feel anything during red light?
It typically feels warm and relaxing. Most people find it comfortable.

Can I do this before a workout?
Yes. Many people use it to feel looser and more ready.

Can I do this after a workout?
Yes. Recover is popular post-training. Relax is great anytime you want to downshift.

Compression (Recover)

What does compression feel like?
A firm, rhythmic squeeze. It’s adjustable, and you can stop anytime.

What compression options are available?
Leg boots are most common. We also offer optional hips and arms (availability may vary).

Who is Recover best for?
People who train hard, sit a lot, travel, or want help with post-training recovery.

Safety

Who should avoid red light sessions?
If you’re pregnant, have light sensitivity, take photosensitizing medications, have an active cancer diagnosis, or have any medical concerns, consult your healthcare provider before using red/near-infrared light.

Who should avoid compression therapy?
If you have a history of blood clots (DVT), severe vascular disease, uncontrolled heart failure, or other circulatory concerns, consult your healthcare provider before using compression.

Is this medical treatment?
No. Red Light Relax is a wellness and recovery service and is not medical care or a substitute for medical treatment.

Booking & Policies

Can I use membership credits for either Relax or Recover?
Yes. Credits can be used for either option.

What is your rescheduling / late cancellation policy?
Please provide 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel. Changes within 24 hours may forfeit the session credit to keep the schedule running on time.

What happens if I’m late?
Late arrivals may shorten the session so we can stay on schedule.

Where are you located?
